The Consumer Protection Act 1987 makes the manufacturer is responsible for your injuries.

Gov.co.uk website has excellent advice on how to report a problem with a faulty medical product under the Yellow Card Scheme. You can access the Yellow Card Reporting scheme here
The Yellow Card Scheme allows you to report side effects of medicine, vaccines, herbal remedies. You can also register faulty products and defective medicine.
It helps the MHRA to monitor the safety of all healthcare products in the UK to ensure they are acceptably safe for patients and those that use them.
