North Wales Woman Left In Agony from Vaginal Mesh

North Wales Woman Left In Agony from Vaginal Mesh

A North Wales Woman Left In Agony from Vaginal Mesh has been awarded compensation. Kerry Watson uses a walking stick and takes more than 100 tablets a week to deal with the agony caused by having a vaginal mesh implant.

She was given the mesh to treat a prolapsed bladder in 2014 bus suffered significant complications. She is one of 25 women who have received compensation following operations carried out by a single surgeon in north Wales.

We assisted Kerry with her claim and are happy to assist any other woman who has been affected. We have since been contacted by a number of women who were led to believe that they were suffering alone.

Many women are not aware of the Mesh Hospitals set up to deal with injuries from Mesh.

The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board apologised and acknowledged that there are a number of claims.Kerry was not fully informed of the risks and side effects of Mesh. She was not given any alternatives to the mesh surgery. All women involved were not adequately informed of the risks involved before operations took place.
