Today we celebrate a Trial Success.

We announced today another trial victory in a personal injury case involving dental negligence. The Claimant’s tongue was lacerated during routine treatment.

Only about 3% of issued civil claims proceed to a fully contested trial. A considerable amount of work is undertaken. Despite attending a Round Table Meeting and making offers of settlement, the Defendant was not prepared to settle the case and instead blamed the Claimant for moving her tongue during treatment.

Dr Victoria Handley successfully brought the claim for compensation saying “despite the Defendant’s aggressive denial, the Judge ultimately deliberated the case using common sense, which resulted in a just and appropriate decision”.

She stated “We thank the Court for its careful and reasonable consideration of the evidence in this case. The brave and dignified manner in which the Claimant proceeded to trial is a testament to her belief in the justice system and that right will prevail”.
